Janice Beaty, 80 of Benton, passed away on August 28, 2023.  She was born on March 7, 1943 in Benton, Arkansas to the late Louis and Minnie Fedd Ballard.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Archie "Bud" Beaty and daughter in law, Shirley Beaty.

Janice is survived by her sons, Ricky (Shirley) Beaty and Jim (Gabriele) Beaty, daughters, Debra (Robert) Wayman, Ladena (Daniel) Keys, Karen Beaty and Sharon (Ben) Downs, fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

After losing her husband of 60 years, she persevered to keep the family together, and learned to live on her own for the first time in her life.  She was the center of gravity for the family, and provided a listening ear and strong shoulders for everyone who loved her.

Church services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday September 1st at First Assembly of God Church in Benton with Pastor Gene Huskey officiating.  Burial will follow at Social Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Ashby Funeral Home on Thursday, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
