Jean Joyce Edwards, age 85, of Benton, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2023.  She was born October 25, 1937 in Searcy, Arkansas to the late John J. & Donnie Smith Joyce.  Jean was a retired teacher.  She dedicated her life serving the Lord and teaching others about his love.  Jean's favorite times were taking beach vacations with family.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bill D. Edwards.

Jean is survived by her son, Mike Edwards (Connie) of Benton; two daughters, Suzy Carter of Benton and Kelly Goff of Fayetteville; brother, John J. Joyce; two sisters, Cathy Stark and Daisy Henry; five grandchildren, Kori, Josh, Brett, Laura, and Emily; and seven great-grandchildren, Jake, Keilie, Lane, Jax, Cassidy, Olivia, and Adeline.

Pallbearers will be Mike Edwards, Brett Carter, Jake Carter, Josh Lorenson, Lane Lorenson, and Will Kordsmeier.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 18 at Ashby Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 19 at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Pinecrest Memorial Park.  Pastor Jonathan Storment will be officiating.
