Jerry Don Childress, age 81, of Benton, passed away on Saturday       March 1, 2025. He was born April 3,1943 in Saline County and raised in Bauxite. Jerry was a retired mechanic. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Childress and Lois Pendergrass Childress, son, Christopher Alan Childress, sister, Anna Lou Summerville, brothers, Jimmy Loyd Childress and Tommy Wayne Childress.

Survivors, wife of 62 years, Betty Waddle Childress, sons and daughter-in law, Todd Childress, Timothy (Angie) Childress, daughter and son-in-law, Jeri (Kenneth) Orrell, sister, Carolyn Gorman, brothers, Joe (Judy) Childress, Ronald (Peggy) Childress, and a host of nieces and nephews, eight grandchildren, Kayland Childress, Madison (Brad) Boogarets, Taryn Childress, Tanner Childress, Seth Orrell, Carissa (Steve) Morris, Dacia (Brad) Graham, and Brandon (Sarah) Borne, six great-grandchildren, Bella Runyan, Maddox Taylor, Parker Graham, Pierce Graham, Cash Borne and Chance Borne.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Ashby Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Bauxite. Minister will be Bro. Benny Grant.
