Jessie Pauline McElroy, age 82, of Haskell, fell asleep in death on Sunday, May 24, 2026.  She was born April 3, 1944 to Myrtle Bell Wilbanks and Jessie Paul Wilbanks.  Pauline was a CNA (Certified Nurses Assistant). She was devoted to her clients as their caregiver and took pride in her work.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents, Myrtle Bell Wilbanks and Jessie Paul Wilbanks; her husband, Theodore McElroy; and three sisters, Opal May Wilbanks, Marrieta Withers, and Elizabeth Hudman.

Pauline is survived by her three precious children, Paula Evans, AJ "Sonny" Gatlin, and Steven McElroy; her grandchildren, Jeffery Ellis, Shane Evans, Checotah Richardson, Sidney Gatlin, Jacob Gatlin, and Alec Gatlin; beautiful great-grandchildren, Jayden, Jude, Alyssa, Zane, Asher, Tate, Sutton, Braylee, Ryder, Ason (Baby Sonny), and Bailey Mae; three sisters, Juanita Muray, Wanda Crook, and Jerri Sharp; along with innumerable nieces and nephews who thought the world of her.

She will be cherished in our hearts forever!!!

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 29 at Traskwood Cemetery.
