Jimmy Davis "Dave" Tollett, 78 of Benton, Arkansas, passed away on September 10, 2023 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.  Dave was born on October 12, 1944 in Nashville, Arkansas to the late Jimmy and Lucille Jamison Tollett.  After graduating from Nashville High School, he served four years in the United States Navy during Vietnam on an aircraft carrier.  After leaving the Navy, he was employed by UPS in Texarkana, Arkansas.  He later was promoted into the position of supervisor and transferred to Little Rock where he met the love of his life, Betty Rhodes, whom he married on November 18, 1978.  They raised three children, Laura (Scott) Perry of Huntsville, Alabama, Mikayla (Kyler) Kelton of Friendship, Arkansas and Yancy Wade Tollett of Little Rock.

Dave liked working outside, clearing land and keeping things in repair.  His greatest joy was being on his tractor, but above all, he loved to listen to good, sound gospel preaching. He spent every vacation traveling to Branson, Missouri and attending services at the Branson Church of Christ Church.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Lucille Jamison Tollett and sister, Rosemary Longnecker.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Betty Tollett, 3 children, two grandchildren, Brett and Alex Perry, sisters, Saundra Stanley, Betty Triechmann and Suzanne Weir all of Texarkana, brothers in law, Bob Rhodes of Ozark, Arkansas, Russell Rhodes of Benton and Harold Crow of South Carolina; a host of nieces and nephews.

Dave was a faithful member of the Highway Church of Christ in Benton where he was active in the evangelism program and volunteered in other works at the church.  He was there when the doors opened and when they were closed.  He truly loved the Lord's church.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 16th at 2:00 p.m. at the Highway Church of Christ, 18514 I-30, Benton, Arkansas 72019 with Minister Steven Ford and Minister Tim Kidwell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Branson Church of Christ  Annual Lectureships, 307 Seventh Street, Branson, Missouri 65616.
