John Wesley Barnett, age 79, of Benton passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025. He was born January 28, 1945 in Benton. John was retired from the maintence department at UAMS and also retired as Assistant Chief from the Salem Fire Department and a member of the Forest Hill Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Barnett and Ruby Dougan Barnett, brother, Marion "Barney" Barnett and daughter-in –law Christy Carol Barnett

Survivors, wife, Mary Ann Barnett, two sons, Michael (Christy) Barnett, and Wesley Bryan Barnett, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday at Ashby Funeral Home.

Church services will be 2:00 PM Monday, at Forest Hills Baptist Church. Minister will be Bro. Marcus Blakley. Burial will be at Graham Cemetery in Benton.
