Obituary

John Easter Hayden, 77, of Bryant, Arkansas passed from this world into his Savior's loving arms on June 25, 2025. He was born to the late Bill and Lura Hayden on October 27, 1947 and was a member of Sharon Baptist Church.

In a world struggling to define masculinity, Johnny Hayden lived it with quiet strength, unwavering faith, and humble devotion. A man of integrity, he loved God deeply and always put Him first in every aspect of life.

Johnny dedicated 33 years of faithful service to A Beka Book, where he sold Christian school textbooks and made a lasting impact on countless schools and families. He trained and mentored many new representatives, earning admiration and respect across the organization. His work ethic, kindness, and leadership were so profound that upon his retirement, A Beka established an award in his honor—recognizing the very qualities Johnny embodied.

Johnny was also a man devoted to his family. He loved his wife, Sue, with great tenderness and strength. Their 55 year marriage was a shining example of a Godly partnership—full of love, commitment, and shared faith. He was a proud father to his boys and found great joy in being "PawPaw" to his grandchildren, whom he adored deeply.

John's legacy of faith, service, and love lives on in all who had the privilege to know him.

Johnny was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Hayden and his parents, Bill and Lura. He is survived by his sister, Sue Kennedy. Johnny has two sons, Jon and Paul Hayden. Jon is married to Michelle and they have two daughters, Sarah and Hannah. Paul is married to Cathy, and they have a son, Andrew.

Pallbearers will be Jon Hayden, Paul Hayden, Andrew Hayden, Caleb Stephens, Cole Howe, and Ronnie Wise.
