Johnny M. Howard, 76, of Mabelvale, went to be with his father, mother, and his brother Don on May 12, 2026 at 4:30 p.m.  He was born December 30, 1949 in Dewitt, Arkansas to the late William (Eddie) Howard and Ora Belle Howard.

He is survived by two sons, Phillip Howard of Florida and Michael Howard of Dewitt; two sisters, Betty Cockrill of Mabelvale and Carol Hileman of Anna, Illinois; brother, William Edward Howard Jr. of Henderson, Nevada; and lots of family & friends.

Johnny served 9 years in the U. S. Army.  He was a hard worker and was known for whistling as he worked.  Johnny loved the outdoors including fishing and gardening.

Pallbearers will be Jason Don Howard, William Allen Howard, Shane Marks, Shane Bradley Marks, Wade Marks, Michael Howard, Daniel Howard, Jerry Fairchild, and Drew Howard.

Visitation will be 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 18 at Ashby Funeral Home with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Rick Porter officiating.  Burial to follow at Dewitt Cemetery in Dewitt with Bro. Tim Johnson officiating.

Johnny said he would like everyone to attend his service in blue jeans and be comfortable.
