Jonathan Garrett, known by his friends as "Catfish", went to live with his Heavenly Father June 9th, 2026.  He is now at peace.  There, he is reunited with his father, Lee "Levi" Garrett, Grandparents Jack and Marie Clardy of Glen Rose and William and Eleene Garrett of Sardis, along with dear friends Jake Weldon, Don Polk and many other friends and family.

Left to cherish memories are his mother, Peggy Clardy Garrett, of Benton, sisters Machelle Garrett, of Little Rock and Stacy (Scott) Thomas of Benton, nephew Cameron (Brittany) Still, niece Carah Still and great nephew Levi Hice all of Little Rock.  As well as a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends across the country.

Jonathan graduated from Harmony Grove High School. He had a love for music, excelled in band and enjoyed participating in choir where he shared his singing and theatrical talents. He later studied at Ouachita Technical College, now known as ASU Three Rivers, where he enrolled in the Auto Mechanics program and general education.

At an early age Jonathan developed a fascination with cars, mechanical and electrical objects.  While in elementary school, he read and studied his dad's motor manuals, until he knew all about the parts and how they worked.  He could totally disassemble a car down to the last nut and bolt and put it back together.  Most of his employment was related to automobiles and electronics, especially custom audio.  He was a mechanical and electronic wizard. He loved drag racing and belonged to the Little Rock Race Club for several years and was heavily involved in the drifting car community.

Jonathan was a tender-hearted person with a unique sense of humor and was a very loyal friend.  He loved helping people any way he could.  During times of snow and ice, he would search for stranded people and enjoyed helping them get back on the road.

He will be greatly missed by those who loved him.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 19th from 6 pm to 8 pm at Ashby's Funeral Home.

Services will be held Saturday, 1:00 Pm Saturday, June 20th at Ashby's Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Brother Chris Floyd. Private graveside service to follow at Fairplay Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Jimmy Shuffield, Todd Crowder, Gary Lynn, Cameron Still, Carah Still, Caleb Leslie, Scott Thomas and Matt Henley.
