Julia Paulette Crook Powell, 72, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away on June 23, 2026. Born on September 29, 1953, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Paulette was the youngest child of Earl and Lorraine Crook. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose life was defined by her love for family and her care for others.

Paulette was preceded in death by her beloved husband of more than fifty years, Jimmy Lee Powell. Together they built a family that was the pride and joy of her life.

She is survived by her children, Ann Powell, Lynn Wesley, and James Powell; her grandchildren, Clinton Powell, Alicia Wesley, Marissa Wesley, Rebecca Wesley, Meghan Powell, and Kaylee Jodry; several cherished great-grandchildren; and her brothers, EF Crook and Jim Crook. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her "kids"—not only her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, but also the many nieces, nephews, and others she welcomed into her heart as family. Paulette never hesitated to help those in need. Whether offering a meal, a listening ear, a place to stay, or simply her unwavering support, she made people feel loved, accepted, and at home.

Paulette will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the way she cared for everyone around her. Her legacy lives on in the family and friends whose lives she touched and in the love she freely shared throughout her life.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Ashby Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
