Keith Rowe Harris, 60, of Benton, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 23, Born on February 13, 1966, in Long Island, New York, he was the son of the late Carl Harris and Karen (Doescher) Harris.

Keith had a deep love for the outdoors, nature, and all things science. His curiosity about the world and passion for learning shaped both his career and the way he lived his life. Above all, he cherished his family and especially loved watching his sons play football, proudly cheering them on and celebrating every moment they shared together.

In 1998, Keith met the love of his life, Kristin, while they were both working as zookeepers at Riverbanks Zoo. They were married on April 20, 2000, and together built a life centered on love and family. They welcomed two beloved sons, Elijah in 2005 and Gabriel in 2011, who were the pride and joy of his life.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Harris and Karen (Doescher) Harris.

He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Kristin Harris; his sons, Elijah Harris and Gabriel Harris; his brothers, Kevin (Christine) Harris of Connecticut and Scott (Lisa) Harris of California; his sister, Catie Harris of South Carolina; his stepmother, Barbara Harris of South Carolina; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the UALR STEM Program in Keith's honor, continuing his lifelong passion for science and education.
