Obituary

Lafayette Allred, 79, of Little Rock, passed away peacefully in his home, Saturday May 2, 2026.  He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and spent his life building meaningful connections with those around him.

Lafayette was a devoted Christian and gifted musician who loved playing the guitar.  He had a natural talent for music--able to hear a tune and effortlessly match it on his guitar.  He also enjoyed watching basketball & football and was an avid fan of the games he loved.  Lafayette found great peace outdoors; especially when fishing, where he could relax and enjoy nature.

Lafayette adored his high school sweetheart, Norma, daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and joy.

Lafayette was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Allred; his daughter, Tracie Everett; his brother, Leo; his brother, Arnold; and his sister, Florina.

He is survived by his brother, Marlin; his sisters, Betty and Barbara; his granddaughters, Haley Everett, Taylor Moody, and Kacey Everett; and his great-grandchildren, Emerson Moody, Willow Moody, and Khylo Bullock.

Lafayette will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.  His memory will live on through the love he shared, the music he played, and the lives he touched.  We all know Lafayette was welcomed into Heaven with the warm embrace of his beloved wife and daughter.
