Laverne O. Struble, 99, of Benton passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025.

She was born on Jan. 10, 1926, in Jennings, Okla., to May and Emmitt Long. She was a graduate of Henderson State University and helped shape the lives of multiple generations of students during her 30-year career in education. She retired in 1991 to spend time with family and travel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Struble; sister, Jewell Dean Sipes; grandson, Donnie Struble; and daughter-in-law, Doris Struble.

She is survived by her brother, Coy Long (Margie) of Aiea, Hawaii; children, Bob Struble of Branson, Mo.; Bill Struble (Pat) of Benton; Mark Struble of Arkadelphia; and Lisa Null (Chris) of Benton; daughter-in-law, Brenda Struble of Benton; grandchildren, Mona Baber (John) of Malvern; Diana Denning (Brian) of Benton; Heather Strasner (Sam) of Russellville; Cody Null (Kelsey) of Little Rock; and Weslie Null of Benton; and two great-grandchildren, John Roth "Trey" Stitt III of Malvern; and Seth Ray Strasner of Russellville.

A graveside service is planned for 10 a.m. on Friday, May 2, at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander under the direction of Ashby Funeral Home in Benton.
