Linda Gail (Wilmoth) Abbott, age 80, of Bauxite, passed away Monday, July 15, 2024 in North Little Rock surrounded by her loving family.  She was born December 24, 1943 in Little Rock, Arkansas to (Jay) James Wilmoth and Leatha (Woodall) Wilmoth.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, (Mandy) Amanda Dempsey Santoff.

Linda is survived by her husband of 66 years, 6 months, and 6 days, Jerry Abbott of Bauxite; her children, Sharon Abbott Dempsey of Haskell, Chester (Kim) Abbott of Bauxite, and Michael Abbott of Benton; son-in-law, Rodger Dempsey of Haskell; two sisters, Nancy Malone-Fleming  (Charlie) of Orlando, Florida and Diann Cole (Glenn) of Ft. Wright, Kentucky; one brother, Jimmy Dale Wilmoth (Sharon) of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Curtis (Summer) Abbott of Conway, Keith Dempsey of Haskell, and Cortney (Michael S) Abbott of Benton; and six great-grandchildren, Elise Santoff of Traskwood, Ellie Abbott, Aurora Abbott, and Lydia Abbott of Conway, Ruger Dempsey of Haskell, and Sawyer Magness of Conway.

Linda was a very devoted wife to Jerry.  She was a homemaker and the backbone of her entire family.  After she got everyone off to hunt or work and she enjoyed watching her soap Operas while she read the newspaper.  Linda liked to watch the hummingbirds and was super proud of her mom's Azalea Bush & the grandfather's beard trees.

She would make sure she was close to the phone at 5:00 pm every Friday for her phone call from her grandson Curtis whom she shared a special bond with.  Linda was not only his MawMaw, she was his mother figure.

Linda was so sweet & very kind to everyone and always happy.  She was the second Mom to all the kids in the Summit Community; she loved every one of those kids and their children, all her nieces & nephews and their children & grandchildren.  Her love had no limits.

She was the first person to hold Keith when he was born and her heart exploded with Love, which has continued his whole life.

Linda got up extra early and cooked breakfast for countless hog & deer hunters over the years and packed them lunches, and made sure they all had their choice of sodas and Gatorade.  Her grandson Keith could call to say "Mawmaw I am about to come down from the deer stand" and she would have his French toast ready when he got there.  Linda would always cook specialty items for her grandbabies and children when they asked.

She was always there for her children & chosen children, all you had to do is call and she would pick you up or go pick you up; you never had to worry about anything coming up.  If you wanted to go away for a night, weekend, or a week; Moma was always right there.  She was there to celebrate all of life's big moments and was there to hold us and talk us through the bad times.  Mike was her baby and was there for her every single day to take her anywhere, bring her food, get her mail, or anything she asked.

Linda took care of everyone all the time and all she asked for was her Newspaper time.

Our family would like to extend special thanks to Kerry Hill for all she has done for our sweet Moma that allowed her to have two more years with us; Dr. Kuperman, his very kind nurse Summer, and staff at CARTI; and Jake Sky-Eagle, his lovely wife Charity, and his family for making a special place in their hearts for Jerry & Linda and for what all they have done & continue to do for all of us.  THANK YOU!!!

Pallbearers will be Bobby Wilmoth, Wesley Wilmoth, Brent Abbott, Alan Hobbs, Drew Mallard, and Michael S. Abbott.  Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Dean Abbott, Dave Fuller, and Jimmie Malone.

Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 21 at Ashby Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 22 at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Social Hill Cemetery.  Jake Sky-Eagle will be officiating.
