Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Maggie Anita Hunter Brown of Bryant, Arkansas, and Estero, Fla. Mrs. Brown passed away August 17, 2023, surrounded by loving family members.  Mrs. Brown was born in Alma, Georgia on March 12, 1948. She grew up in Surrency, Georgia and attended schools in Surrency and Baxley, Georgia before moving to Atlanta, Georgia after graduation from high school.  Mrs. Brown fought a hard fight with cancer and never gave up hope that she could beat this disease.  Mrs. Brown was a very loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Sister, and Friend.  Her greatest joy was celebrating the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents John C. Hunter and Bertie Lee Page Hunter as well as her loving granddaughter, Katie Skelton, loving Sister, Maxine Brown and loving Brother Ronnie Hunter and her grandparents Jonah and Maggie (Rowland) Page as well as many aunts and uncles and cousins.

She is survived by her loving Husband of 55 years, David L. Brown, Bryant, Arkansas and Esteo, Fl. Children: Kristal Brown, Tampa, Florida, Laura (Joe) Belzowski,  Rockwall, Texas and Jeff Brown , Little Rock, Arkansas.  Brothers: Frank (Debi), and JC Hunter of Surrency, Georgia, and Sisters: Ann (Mitchell) Stanfield of Surrency, Georgia, and Johnnie Hunter of Hixson, TN.  She is also survived by her grandchildren:: Rebecca (Josh) Staggs,  Hunter (Jessica) Graves of Tampa Florida, Connor and Emma Belzowski of Rockwall, Texas and Dalton and Garrett Brown of Little Rock, Arkansas.  Great Grandchildren: Cecelia and Dean Staggs, and Lila Graves of Tampa, Florida and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers if you wish to donate, please send to a charity of your choice.  A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date for Mrs. Brown and her immediate family.   Thank you for your prayers during this time.
