Margaret "Neal" Palmer, age 89, passed away in Benton, Arkansas on November 23, 2023, and went to be with Jesus.  Margaret was Born May 9, 1934, in Cabot, Arkansas, to David and "Lena" Neal.

She is survived by her daughter, Lesa "Palmer" Batema, son-in-law, Raymond James Batema, Jr and Grandsons Jacob Palmer Batema and Luke Neal Batema of Michigan and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, James Doyle Palmer (April 2010) of 53 years; mother and father David (April 1971) & Mary Evelyn "Lena" Neal (December 1962); brother, Virgil Neal (October 1988) of Memphis, In; Sister Myrtis "Neal" Lee (December 1976) of Los Angeles, CA; Sister, Immojene "Neal" Behrens (December 1986) of Lincoln, NE,; Brother, John E. Neal (August 2002) of Las Vegas, NV.; Brother Arvis E. Neal (May 1975) of Bryant, AR; Brother, Charles D. Neal (November 1982) of Bakersfield, CA; Sister, Martha "Neal" Hausman of Beatrice, NE; Brother Ira E. Neal (February 1977) of Denver, CO and brother James Leonard Neal (October 1997) of Alexander, AR.

Margaret and her family lived in California for 40 years before retiring and returning to Benton, AR. In 2001. She also lived some years in Zeeland, MI with her daughter and family between the years of 2013-2023.  Margaret was a member of the Sharon Missionary Baptist Church in Benton, AR since returning to AR.

Visitation will be at Sharon Missionary Baptist Church 402 Shenandoah Drive Benton, AR 72019 at 1:00pm on December 5 prior to the Life Celebration Service at 2:00pm. Internment procession at 3:00pm at Pine Crest Cemetery.
