Marvin W. Bearden of Benton, Arkansas, was born March 19, 1936, in Bauxite, Arkansas, and went to be with the Lord on August 25, 2026. Marvin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.

He shared 64 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Marjorie, building a life centered on love, family, faith, and countless cherished memories. Marvin attended school in Bauxite, proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy, and was a faithful member of New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church in Benton.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Marjorie; his brother, Ira Bearden (Ruth) of Benton; sisters, Blanche Record (Jim) of Belle Chasse, Louisiana, and Mary Bigelow (Russell) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his children, Wesley Bearden (Becky) of Benton, Judith Orrick of Benton, Marla Palmer (Todd) of Sheridan, and Allan Bearden (Jennifer) of Hot Springs; eight grandchildren, Carley Price (Clay), John Bearden (Taylor), Justin Orrick (Christina), Clayton Palmer, Dylan Palmer, Blake Bearden, Grant Bearden (Anna), and Kylee Bearden; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Edna Bearden; and his siblings, Lois O’Neal, Gene Bearden, Gladys Tidwell, Jewel Johnson, Maudie Canada, Blakely Bearden, Narrie Bearden, Arlene Bearden, Pauline Bearden, and Rodney Bearden.

Marvin will be remembered for his unwavering love and devotion to his family, his service to his country, and his deep faith. His greatest legacy is the family he and Marjorie built together and the love he shared with those around him. His memory will live on through his family and all who knew and loved him.

He will be deeply missed, but the love, lessons, and memories he gave his family will remain in their hearts forever.

Visitation will be held at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton, Arkansas, on Friday, August 28, 2026 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 10:00 a.m.
