Mary Lou DiCicco, 88, of Benton, passed away September 14, 2023. She was born July 10th, 1935 in Benton to the late Maynard and Alice Burrow. Mary Lou was a 1953 graduate of Benton High School and went on to serve her country in the United States Marine Corps where she met her husband, Robert DiCicco, whom she married in 1954 and had 3 children. While raising children, she graduated from cosmetology school and operated a beauty salon across the street from her home for many years. She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church for close to 40 years. She served as the church pianist at Bethel for several years before becoming a member of New Prospect Baptist Church, both located in Benton.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; and her son, Steven. She is also preceded in death by brothers, Rex Burrow, Clennon Burrow, Robert M. Burrow, Jr., Royce Burrow, Sammie Burrow, Bill Burrow; sisters, Mildred Pannell, Mae Perry, Charlene Loucks, Marilyn Bodenstedt, Jimmie Hamilton; and 1 grandson, Waylon Griffis.

Survivors include 1 son, Robert DiCicco (Wendy) of Little Rock; 1 daughter, Lisa M. Smith (Mark) of Jonesboro; 1 sister, Joyce Pickens, of Lubbock, TX; 5 grandsons, Jeremy DiCicco of Benton, Joshua DiCicco (Cara) of Benton, Michael DiCicco (Karen) of Bryant, Shawn Mayfield and Brandon Smith of Jonesboro; 3 granddaughters, Heather Stovall (Waylon), Brittany Smith of Jonesboro, and Shanan Crowder (Todd); and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 10:00 AM, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM in the Ashby Funeral Home Chapel.
