Maryland "Rosette" Cleghorn, 75, of Bryant, Arkansas went to her Heavenly reward on Saturday, February 1, 2025 under the care of Hospice Home Care.  She was born on August 11, 1949 in Fordyce, Arkansas to Loyd L. and Maggie Lou Brown.

Mrs. Cleghorn was short in stature, but she lived by the motto, "Dynamite comes in small packages".  She spent most of her career as a bookkeeper for numerous businesses in Central Arkansas.  While her career was cut short due to her many illnesses, she would never give up in her service to others.  She loved to make quilts and blankets for family members and friends.  She would also make hats and blankets for babies at the local hospitals as well as making baked goods and treats for numerous public service organizations in the area.

Mrs. Cleghorn would often tell her family, "God will never put more on you than you can bear…I just wish He didn't have such a high opinion of me."  She was strong in her faith and was quick to share the Gospel with anyone who would listen.  She even wrote a book recounting her journey with lupus entitled "God's Grace is Sufficient."

She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Rodney Cleghorn; her parents; three brothers; and one sister.

She is survived by three sons, Kevin Cleghorn (Shannon) of Bauxite, Damon Cleghorn (Keela) of Redfield, and Raymond Cleghorn (Missy) of Benton.  She also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, one brother and two sisters as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton, Arkansas on Monday, February 3, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

Service will be on Tuesday, February 4, at 2:00 pm at First Assembly of God in Benton.  Rev. John Bailey and Rev. Gene Huskey will be officiating.

The family would like to thank the faculty and residents at The Manor in Bryant for providing a wonderful community for her to spend her last few months.  She very much enjoyed her time there.  We would also like to thank her care team at Hospice Home Care for the excellent care that they have provided her for the past several months.  Special thanks to her nurses, Jana Robinson, Hallie Rich, and all of the nurses at HHC's Comfort Care Center for your compassionate approach to healthcare.  You have all made a significant impact on our family.  God Bless You All!
