Melba Dean Harris age 92, of Benton, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024. She was born January 15, 1932 in Benton. Melba was a housewife and a member of Glazier Peau Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Smith and Donia Bradberry Smith, husband, Thurman Harris, two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors, sons and daughters-in-law, Gary D. (Clarisse) Harris, Derwin (Cindy) Harris, daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Paulette (Charles) Marshall, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Friday at Ashby's.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Ashby Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Pine Crest Cemetery. Minister will be Bro. Don McCutcheon.

Pallbearers: J.D Harris, Michael Marshall, Cameron Marshall, Ethan Harris, Jonathan Tillery, Chandler Tillery, Laine Harris, Kaleb Marshall, and Jimmy Beckwith.
