Michael Renn Homan, 57, of Benton, left his earthly life on February 19, 2025. He was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas on February 17, 1968 to Elizabeth Sue (Collins) Homan and Robert Renn Homan. Michael was preceded in death by father Gerald Edward 'Jerry' Krebs; maternal grandparents; Ezra Wilson Collins and Frances Pauline (Thomas) Collins and Oscar Cordrey, and paternal grandparents; Jack and Jo Homan and Ed and Faye Krebs.
Mike attended Pulaski Academy and then graduated from Benton High School. Pursuing a major in architecture, he attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and Little Rock. Later he was employed by Orbit Valve and Beverly Enterprises. Mike enjoyed the outdoors, and fishing was his passion. He also loved throwing darts. Not only was he a loving man, he was a friend to everyone. A man who was polite, respectful, and compassionate. Mike was just a well-mannered gentleman with a giving heart full of kindness for those in need, as well as having a deep love for all animals.
He leaves behind one daughter, Halle Elizabeth (Homan) Blackwood (Megan), and one granddaughter, Esme' Grace Blackwood, of Benton; mother Elizabeth Sue Krebs (Tommy Parsons) of Tull, and Robert Homan (Beverly) of North Little Rock, Arkansas, brothers; Michael and Timothy Parsons; his Uncle Mike Krebs and family, and Uncle Jack Homan and family. Special mentions; his Aunt Jonelle Homan, cousins Sherry Goss and Cara Benson, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Visitation to be held Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 1 p.m. with funeral services following at 2 p.m. Ashby Funeral Home, 108 W Narroway St, Benton, AR 72015 with Tommy Parsons officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 10200 Stagecoach Road (Hwy 5) Alexander, Arkansas 72202
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions of your choice be made to Benton Animal Services, the Humane Society of Saline County, The Disabled American Veterans or to our homeless.
