Michael E Parks age 74, of Benton passed away on September 28, 2024.  He was born on August 21, 1950 to the late William and Wanda Mandrel Parks.  After retiring from Waste Management in Little Rock. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Salem Road Church of Christ in Benton.

He is preceded in death by his parents; in laws; Linston and Snookie Avaritt; brothers Billy Parks and John Parks.

Michael is survived by wife of 52 years Cathy Parks;  son, Michael Parks (Cody); daughter, Kristi Gwatney (Jay); and  grandchildren,  Haleigh Floyd (Tyler), Cassidy Hopkins, Lainie Parks, Brennon Parks, Jared Gwatney, Blake Gwatney, Krislynn Newkirk, Connor  Crone, 1 great-grandchildren Emerson Floyd. Also surviving family members, brother, J. D. Parks, brother in law, Jack Avaritt (Pam), Marilyn Jo Meyer (Robert), Carol Ashley, Kim Hester (Bruce), sister in law, Geneva Parks and Denise Parks, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday October 2, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11: 00 AM at Ashby's Funeral Home in Benton. The memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM at the same location.
