Nancy Jean Delgman, 68 of Bryant, AR passed away peacefully August 10, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones.

Nancy answered her calling early in life to become a nurse. Throughout her 40 years in nursing she dedicated countless hours advocating for, bearing witness to, and treating all of her patients as if they were family. Her compassion and drive were unmatched. She was the epitome of a caregiver to all. Her passion for encouraging others to continue on their educational path was as much a mission as nursing itself.

She was born in a time of revolution in our world and she lead the revolution. She had a voice that carried for those who didn't have one and lead by her example of living an authentic life. She didn't conform to anyone's standards of conventional and helped others find their footing in this world simply by the way she lived. She met and married the love of her life, Freda, 21 years ago. They have filled their years traveling, adventuring, loving on their pups, and living their lives to the absolute fullest. They set an example for all of us to make the most of all the collected moments we're afforded in this life.

She raised two daughters, Jennifer and Lisa, with the same passion for life and adventuring that she had. Throughout their lives they learned about resilience, strength, compassion, and intentional living simply by the way she lived hers. She filled the years with amazing memories and steadfast traditions that they will carry on with their own families. She beamed while talking about her three grandkids - Clay Perry, Hattie Kate, and Dylan. They were the loves of her life and never missed an opportunity to tell everyone that would listen about them! They loved their Mimi fiercely and they will miss her greatly.

She leaves behind a chosen family that she loved beyond all measure. Rita, Jerry, and Bonnie filled her life with so much love and treated Nancy as their own. They poured into each others lives and never missed an opportunity to show up for one another.

Nancy is survived by her wife of 21 years, Freda Ivy, her oldest daughter Jennifer Bratton and spouse Candace Goodwin, her youngest daughter Lisa Hooper and spouse Jason Hooper and her three grandchildren Clay Perry, Hattie Kate, and Dylan. She is survived by an aunt, an uncle and numerous cousins that will miss her greatly. She will be missed by countless friends and colleagues that she worked beside during her 40 years at Baptist Health LR.

She is proceeded in death by her mother, father, sisters and brother. She was the baby of the family and walked through the loss of her parents and siblings with grace and dignity.

We will be celebrating her life Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 10am at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton. As Nancy was full of life until the very end, we ask that you come ready to share amazing stories about her life that impacted your own! We ask that you wear bright colors to illuminate the room as brightly as Nancy lived her life!

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to Arkansas Hospice - an organization that Nancy believed deeply in.
