On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, Nelda Jean Darnell went to be with the Lord.  She was born February 28, 1929 in Glenwood, Arkansas.  Nelda retired from AP&L after 20 years of service.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Roger Darnell; her parents, Miley & Effie Ashbrook; three brothers, Arnold, Cecil, and Delano Ashbrook; and a sister, Irma Ashbrook.

Nelda is survived by her son, Alan Harrison of Van Buren, Arkansas; daughter, Marsha LaMascus (Randy) of Sheridan, Montana; step-daughter, Margaret Lancaster; sister, Joyce Moore of Benton, Arkansas; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 15 at Pinecrest Memorial Park.  Kevin Sims will be officiating.
