Opal Cheek, age 99, of Paron, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on April 8, 2024. She was born July 10, 1924 in La Junta, Colorado. She was a member of Collegeville Church of the Nazarene. She went to work at Benton State Bank when she finished high school. She worked as a bookkeeper until she retired. After that she worked at AARP and then at Foxcroft Nursing Home.

She taught Sunday School for many Years and loved to study the Bible.

Opal was preceded in death by her parents, Acler and Moranda

Williams, her husband, Monroe Cheeks Sr., step-son, Monroe Cheek Jr., and daughter, Caroline Lewis.

She is survived by her children, Bill Cheek, Louisa (Jimmy) Bowman, Raymond Davis II, Frances Lockert, John (Betty) Davis, Henry (LaVa)

Davis, Mona (Donald) Doss, and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM before the service at Ashby's.

Memorial services will be 11:00 AM, April 27, 2024 at Ashby Funeral Home. Minister will be Dennis Yarberry.
