Pamela
Mccoy
Mar 27, 1954 — Nov 25, 2024
Mabelvale
After a long illness, Pamela McCoy, 70, of Mabelvale, went to be with the Lord on November 25, 2024. Pamela, the fifth born child of Kenneth and Erlene Miller, was born in Imboden, Arkansas on March 27, 1954. She graduated from Sloan Hendrix in 1972 and Blackwood Cosmetology School soon after.
Pam, as she was known, and Patsy Lein ran Pat & Pam's on Markham for 20 years – before selling their shop, they also ran a shop in Pleasant Hills Retirement Home. When Patsy retired, Pam moved to Woodland Heights to "do hair" and spread smiles until she retired in 2023.
She was married to E. Paul McCoy for 34 years. They spent lots of happy weekends raising miniature ponies, growing flowers, and deer hunting! Pam was an avid hunter, using bow & arrow, muzzleloader, and regular rifle so she wouldn't miss a minute. Hunting was pure enjoyment, she loved it; especially if she got a bigger deer than Paul.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Ray Miller and Erlene Simon Beshires; grandparents, Charles & Edith Miller of Ravenden and John M. & Louise Simon of Black Rock; brothers, Larry Ray and Michael Leeroy; and sisters, Ann (infant) and Nancy Roberts Baxter.
She is survived by her husband, E. Paul McCoy; son, Kurt Holder (Tina); step-daughter, Tanya Wright (Greg); and five greatly beloved grandchildren, Kayle Feather (Alex) who shared a birthday with her, Arian Holder (fiancée Zack Corter), James Holder, Bailey Wright, and Taylor Wright. Pam was All and Proud of every achievement they had, enjoying every moment spent in their company. She also had a great-grandson, Jackson Feather, who she thought was the grandest; another great-grandchild on the way; sister, Mary Miller Harp and a sister-in-law, Wanda Coker Miller both of Paragould; and lots of McCoy's, family, & friends.
Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 1 at Ashby Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 12:00 noon Monday, December 2 at Parks Cemetery in Imboden, Arkansas.
