Bryant
Paulette Marie (Bissonnette) Welvaert, age 84, formerly of Bryant Arkansas went home to be our Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 24th, 2024 while surrounded by her family. Paulette was born in Leominster, MA on September 21st, 1939. She was a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, community volunteer, sister in Christ, and opinionated friend. In her younger years she was a passionate dancer who enjoyed acrobatics, jazz, and tap. She had a successful few years working at the Tilton and Cook Plastic factory before becoming a dedicated full time mother. When Paulette and her family moved to central Arkansas she spent most of her time working for the Lord after becoming a life long member of Sandstone Drive Church of Christ. She became a beloved sister and has been faithful to the church throughout her life. She dedicated many years to the programs within the church including, grandmother's day out, prison ministry, and serving Sunday potluck. Her family will remember her affectionately as Mom, "Nanny", "Nonnie", and "GiGi".
She is preceded in death by her late husband, Arnold Welvaert, her parents Arthur and Josephine (Roberger) Bissonnette, her 7 brothers: Edward, Albert, Arthur, Francis, Phillip, David, William, 2 of her sisters: Phyllis Spann and Jeanne Crawley, and two of her beloved children, Douglas Shosey and Julie Buoneuonacore. We are celebrating their eternal reunion.
She is survived by: 2 of her sisters, Lori Gaetz of Prinston, MA and Shirley Ricker of Yuma, AZ. As well as her children Gail Columbus, Joyce Snyder, George Steven Shosey (Sharon), Arthur Shosey (Schon), Donna Taylor (Sonny), and Ben Welvaert (Christy). Her grandchildren: Corey Shosey, Sarah Irwin (Andrew), Jillian Bertoni (Rikki), Troy Snyder, Robyn Kendrick (Rob), Ashley Fountain (Ben), Lyndsey Blake (Kyle), Amy Harris (Michael), Ali Adams (Chad), Kayla Welvaert, Mallory Welvaert, and Chase Welvaert. In addition to her several loved and cherished great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to everyone who has loved and laughed with Paulette over the years, and ask that anyone who wishes to celebrate her homecoming in heaven donate to the Sandstone Drive Church of Christ in Little Rock, AR in her name. Flowers can also be sent directly to the church.
There will be a memorial service at Sandstone on Wednesday August 28th, 2024 at 10am where we would ask that everyone wear a pop of yellow, as it was Paulette's favorite color. Paulette spent much of her time in her later years sharing joy and love on Facebook and we would encourage you to share your family and the joys of life where they can be enjoyed by family and friends who may be close in heart but far in distance.
