Phyllis Cox age 72, of Benton, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. She was born October 21, 1953 in Bauxite. Phyllis worked in insurance claims for several years and was a devout Christian of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Barney Fite and Dortha Akins Fite, and a brother, Larry Fite.

Survivors, son, Kevin Berry, daughters and son-in-law, Ericka (Joe) Fee, and Jennifer Ventura, brother and sister-in-law, Eddie (Christine) Fite, five grandchildren, Sarah Ventura, Klale Raby, Brinklee Raby, Brooks Ellison and Korbin Ellison, and her special cousin, Charlotte, "Her Partner in Crime"

Phyllis loved her family and was a great cook and was very talented. She could grow a flower out of a dead stick and she also loved to color. She loved her fur babies and her grand fur babies.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Bauxite.
