We would like to announce the passing of our Pops, Robert Gordon (Pokey Pops), who went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday September 16, 2025 at the age of 83.

Born on December 13,1941 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to Charles Lee Gordon and Sadie Ree (Melugin) Gordon. Pops married his sweetheart Jackie (Williams) Gordon on September 14,1962 and had two sons, Kurt Gordon and Paul Gordon, from which he gained many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and even a few great great grandchildren. Some of which include Shaina (Corey) Myers and their three children, Sarina (Will) Matlock and their four children, and Chase Gordon.

His wife Jackie went to be with Jesus on November 21, 1982.

On August 15, 1986 he married Nancy (Jackson) Gordon and gained two step-children, Melissa (Dan) Parish and Jerry (Dajie) deBin along with several grandchildren including Amanda (Chris) Langley and great grandchildren. There are some great great grandchildren from both sides to be counted blessings as well.

Pops lived his passion career by being a truck driver from the 80s until he retired. Once he retired he enjoyed wood working and whittling for hobbies. He had a unique personality and will be missed.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents Charles "Lee" and Sadie Ree Gordon, his brother Charles Lee Gordon, his sister Patsy Sorrells, and wife Jackie Gordon.

We would like to make an honorable mention for Bobbye Gordon, his sister-in-law, for her devoted friendship even after the passing of her husband Charles Lee Gordon. Also, James Sorrells (Patsy) for his friendship over the years as well.

There will be no services per Robert Gordon's request.
