Roger Dale Langley, 78, Benton, passed away Monday, December 8, 2025.  He was born on January 26, 1947, in Benton, Arkansas, to Edward and Shirley Langley. He graduated from Benton High School in 1966, served 10 years in the Arkansas National Guard, and later retired from Smith Fiberglass Company to enjoy life on the water and in the woods. He was a lifetime member of First Pentecostals of Benton.

Roger is predeceased by his parents and his brother, Harvey Langley.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Darlene Langley; his son, Jonathan Langley (Jessica); and five cherished grandchildren—Ariana and David Langley, and Gracie, Jaxson, and Allie Johnston. He is also survived by his three brothers, Darryl, Joe, and Randy Langley; his four sisters, Eunice Wise, Carolyn Adcock, Janie Fikes, and Hilda Kemp; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Roger was a man of few words, but his heart was full of devotion. He was proudest of his son, and nothing brought him more joy than time spent with his grandchildren. His love was quiet but steady and was shown through acts of service. He was always ready to lend a helping hand. When Roger wasn't outdoors, he enjoyed treasure-hunting on thrifting trips and taking country drives with his wife. Though he didn't say much, he never ran out of stories about youthful shenanigans, hunting adventures, or days on the water fishing. He will be deeply missed around the fire—both at deer camp and at the lake. While our hearts ache, we take comfort in knowing his body is healed and free to hunt and fish to his heart's content.

A heartfelt thanks to his niece, Renee Langley, and Elite Hospice Care for their exceptional care during his final days.

Visitation will be 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 12 at Ashby Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1:00 p.m.  Burial to follow at Peeler Bend Cemetery.  Rev. Burl Crabtree will be officiating.
