Obituary

Ronnie Glenn Steele, 67, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away on March 16, 2026, at 3:40 p.m., surrounded by his loved ones.

Ronnie was born on November 12, 1958, in Paris, Texas, to Wanda and Edward Steele. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Tammy Steele; his children, Ashley (Dustin) and Justin (Keeleigh); and his three grandsons, Daniel, Ethan, and Atlas, who lovingly knew him as "Papaw." He is also survived by his sisters, Debbie Clement and Vickie Bernard (Arthur).

Ronnie spent many years working as a truck driver until 1997, when he suffered a stroke that left him disabled. Despite this life-changing event, Ronnie remained strong and continued to find purpose and joy in everyday life. He spent his time caring for others in his own way—mowing neighbors' yards, tending to his garden, and most importantly, spending time with his grandchildren.

He had a quick wit and a natural ability to make others laugh. Ronnie's sense of humor, resilience, and love for his family defined who he was.

Ronnie was a man of faith and has gone to be with his Lord and Savior.

A celebration of life will be held on March 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Sharon Baptist Church, located at 402 Shenandoah Dr., Benton, Arkansas 72019.

He will be remembered as a devoted family man, a hardworking provider, and a proud Papaw whose legacy lives on through those who loved him.

We take comfort in knowing that he is whole again and at peace in the presence of the Lord. We will miss him deeply, but we know this goodbye is temporary.
