Roy Eugene Hines, age 87, of Buckville, passed away Monday, June 10, 2024.  He was born September 24, 1936 in Bauxite, Arkansas.  Roy was a U.S. Navy Veteran and retired from the Benton Fire Department in 1993.  He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ira W. & Maudie Sheridan Hines; wife, Barbara Sue Hines; and four brothers, J.D., Clarence, Jimmy, and Herman Hines.

Roy is survived by two sons, Richard Hines (Rebecca) and Paul Hines; two daughters, Eugenia Sledd (John) and Debra Bellinger (Randy); sister, Darla Duncan; eight grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chad Bellinger, Josh Sledd, Jeremy Sledd, Dalton Ellison, Gunnar Ellison, and Jason Ballew.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 at Ashby Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 13 at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Forst Hills Memorial Park.  Bro. Jimmy Scott will be officiating
