On July 4, 2015 at 3:15 pm, Ruby Evelyn Jones took her final breath in the home of her eldest son surrounded by those she loved. For many years, Ruby fought hard against COPD and Congestive Heart Failure. She was 66 years old.
Ruby was born in Black Oak, Arkansas on January 7, 1949. She was the fifth child to Marvin and Edna Textor. She had six brothers and two sisters. She was preceded in death by brothers Thomas, William, and Paul. She was survived by brothers Robert Textor, of Lamar, MO, Edward Textor, of Willard, MO, Douglas Textor, Springfield, MO, and sisters, Reba Farrar, of Dublin, GA. and Linda Humbers, Fayette, AL.
Ruby was a beloved mother to her children Jeff Watts (Billie Watts) of Benton, AR, Gregory Watts of Benton, AR, LaDonna Watts of Atkins, AR, Vikkee Watts of Benton, AR. and beloved Memaw to her grandchildren, Megan Corder (David Corder) of Clarksville, TN, Johnathon Carmichael, of Cabot, AR, Taylor Kauffman (Andrew Kauffman) of Clarksville, TN, Jacob Carmichael of Malvern, AR, Elizabeth Watts of Oklahoma, City, OK, Anna Watts, of Benton, AR, and Cooper Watts of Atkins, AR. She anticipated the arrival of her great-grandchildren, Ella Corder and Malakai Kauffman.
Ruby a retired LPN, was an avid reader and aspiring author. She loved nothing more than her children, grandchildren, and Jethro Gibbs. She served many years of being a valued friend to those around her and was cherished deeply by everyone she met. A member of Apostolic Tabernacle of Benton, AR. Ruby was a true example of a woman of faith, integrity and grace. She was walked home surrounded by her children and grandchildren with the sweet sounds of heaven. Her heart was full at peace ready to meet her Lord and Savior.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
