Obituary

Sandra Jo ("Sandi") Lilly, 69, of Bauxite, Arkansas joined her heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 04, 2025.  She was born in Little Rock on April 27, 1955 to Otis and Jerry (Beene) Pifer.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her older sister, Lynn Howard, and her nephew, Chad Pifer.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 52 years, Alan Lilly, son Jason Lilly (Heather), daughters Mande Nuss (Mark), Katrina Mason (Nic), and four grandchildren: Seth, Samuel, Sarah, and Coy as well as brother Buddy Pifer (Renee), sisters Ann Rice (Gail), and Deanie Johnson.  She also leaves behind very special nieces and nephews, and a multitude of other relatives, friends, and a very special church family.

Sandi retired from Doctors Park Eye Clinic and then later enjoyed helping her friends at Twigs Flowers and Gifts.  Also lovingly known as "Memaw," she took pride in supporting her grandkids and would beam with joy when telling you about her love for them.  She was in her happy place when she was at the lake, camping, traveling, and spoiling her grandkids. (Although she would argue that they weren't spoiled - just very loved.)  Memaw found great comfort in spending time with her beloved dog, Sadie.  She also treasured her time with her extended family - going on girls trips, shopping, and finding good bargains.  She loved to be in a room filled with people and enjoy a good laugh - often just looking around the room smiling at those she admired. She was known for giving thanks for God's blessings in her life.

What brought her the most fulfillment was serving in her church.  For many years she happily volunteered in the nursery with the babies as well as childrens church.  She found great joy in helping kids learn about Jesus through crafts, games, songs, VBS, and most recently as "the snack lady" until she was just no longer able to do so.  Sandi absolutely loved serving, worshipping, and just being in God's house, around God's people.  Even in her last days she was making sure that her loved ones would stay in church.  She longed for her legacy to be passed on for others to love and serve in the church as well.
