Our beloved Scott John Chaplin left this earth for his heavenly home on July 21, 2025 at his home in Bigelow Arkansas. Scott was born July 21, 1960 in Naperville, Illinois to Kenneth Chaplin and Patricia Gandvil Abbott.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, his stepdad Ray Abbott, a sister Pam Chaplin and a brother Eugene Abbott. Also preceding in death: his father-in-law Isidro Saldivar, an Aunt Joann Albrecht and Uncle Gendvil.

Scott is survived by his wife of 36 years, Yvette Yolanda Chaplin, mother-in-law, Maria Del Carmen Saldivar, sisters-in-law, Delia Ann Jackson (Kenneth), Josefina Josie Cisneos (John), brothers-in-law, Jose Angel Saldivar III and Franisco Javier (Leticia). Scott is also survived  by his uncle Richard J. Gandvil of Sand Point, Idaho, Aunt Sanda J. Rodriguez Gandvil of Algonquin, Illinois. Scott is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, coworkers and friends.

Scott was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard and was employed with Dassault Falcon Jet for over 30 years.

Scott was fun and loving.  He will be missed by all that knew him!

There will be a celebration of life held at the Vimy Ridge Immanuel Baptist Church at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 9, 2025.
