Shirley Irene Hester McAtee, 86, of Benton, went to meet her Lord and Savior on January 5, 2024.  She was born January 27, 1937 of Benton, Arkansas.  Shirley was the former manager of Crows Station.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Doss & Susie Hester; her husband, Sherman Charles Pete McAtee; brother, Doyle Hester; and a sister, Marilyn Cummins.

She is survived by two sisters, Karon Garner-McAlister (Bill) and Brenda Horton (Bill); son, Brent McAtee (Robin); step-son, Herman McAtee (Lois); six grandchildren, Brandi Simpson (Nick), Allison Pereira (George), Abigail Wiggins (Grant), Angela McAtee, Sandra Stewart, and Jamie Yates (Joe); and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Nick Simpson, George Pereira, Grant Wiggins, Brian Cummins, Timmy Garrett, and Adam Howard.  Honorary pallbearers will be James Chaney, Steve Lovell, Bill Horton, Herman McAtee, and Danny Mills.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 9 at Gravel Hill Cemetery.  Bro. Gary Gibson will be officiating.
