Shirley Marie Yount, 73, of Little Rock, passed away on November 12, 2025. She was born on July 23, 1952, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her father, O.C. Yount; grandparents, Will & Bessie Davenport and Charlie & Ida Yount; and her niece, Casey Carter.

Shirley is survived by her loving mother, Bessie Yount; her sister, Sharon Lewis; her brother, Terry (Pam) Yount; nephews, Devin (Kayla) Yount and Ryland Lewis; nieces, Jenny Simmons, Kara and Lisa Lewis, Alicia Malone, and Andrea (Matt) Devine. Also, three great-nephews, four great-nieces, and numerous cousins.

Shirley was a longtime member of First Southern Baptist Church and attended Life Line Baptist Church. She was known for her generous and thoughtful spirit — she never forgot a birthday and loved sending cards to family and friends. In her spare time, she enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles and crafting handmade potholders, which she often shared as gifts.

Visitation will be 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Thursday, November 20 at Ashby Funeral Home with a memorial service beginning at 3:00 p.m.  Peter Cunningham and Don Chanellor will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation in Shirley's honor.
