Susan Elizabeth Poe, age 82, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2024. She was born on April 22, 1942, in Corvallis, Oregon, to the late Edwin and Muriel Edwards.

Susan was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert L. Poe. She is survived by her sons, David Schmidt and Robert Schmidt; daughters Emily Edwards, Laura Baber (Adrian), and Liz Ballentine (Charles). She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren, to ten great-grandchildren, and to one great-great-grandchild. Susan is also survived by her brother, John Edwards (Josephine) and their family, and her sister-in-law, Jean Smith. Additionally, she leaves behind her extended family at Willow Court, Arkansas Health Center, who provided her with love and care in her final years.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 16th, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ashby's Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, December 17th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Saline Independent Methodist Church in Benton, Arkansas, in Susan's memory.

Susan will be remembered for her love of family, her kind heart, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
