Susana Davila
Harrison
Sep 18, 1937 — Apr 26, 2024
Benton
Susana Davila Harrison, 86, of Benton, Arkansas, died surrounded by loving family on April 26, 2024. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on September 18, 1937 to Manuel and Josephine Davila, and she was known to always be full of joy and kindness. She attended Thomas Jefferson High School, before joining and serving in the Marine Corp., until she was honorably discharged, where she spent the rest of her working years as a dedicated employee of Union Bank, now known as First Security Bank. Susana loved the simple things in life. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting, and she shared this love of crafting with her daughters. She was an indulgent dog mom, an expert in homemade tamales, a computer and card game aficionado, and above all, a devoted mother and grandmother. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her daughters and granddaughters; whether it be at the lake, craft shows, early morning yard sales, or Mexican restaurants accompanied by the occasional margarita. She found joy in the happiness of her family, and she leaves behind a legacy of strength, creativity, and love. She will be dearly missed, and never, ever forgotten.
Susana was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Josephine Davila; her brother, Luciano Flores; and her only grandson, Drew Michael Gautney.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Carroll Harrison, two daughters; Faith (John) Gautney and Tina (Charlie) Manning, four granddaughters; Erin (Cody) Kindy, Alden Manning, Emily Gautney, and Sarah (Carlton) Norris, seven great grandchildren; Jasen Wisener, Carson Conyers, Rylee Cobb, Luke Kindy, Samuel Gautney, Beau Kindy, and Eliza Norris, two sisters; Yolanda Flores-Garcia and Estella Flores, and two brothers; Gus (Linda) Flores and Paul (Phyllis) Flores.
