Thomas Jefferson Howard, 76, of Sardis, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023 after medical complications. He was born on December 9, 1946 to Buddy and Beatrice Howard in Hot Springs, Arkansas. After Thomas served 4 years in the Army, he went on to work at the Postal Service for 33 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran with a Purple Heart and other distinguished medals.

In 1967, Thomas married Cindy Howard and had four children, Tammy Bliznak, Susan Buchholz (David), Rebekah Brown (Matt & his son Aden), and James Howard.

Thomas loved the Lord and his family. His favorite pastime was going to church and being a witness.

He is preceded in death by his son, Thomas James Howard; parents, Buddy & Beatrice Howard; and one sister, Charlotte Wagner.

Thomas is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Hester Atkerson (Charles), Paula Jones (Larry), Robyn Hollock (Joe), Donna Yamhure (Eric); John Hawthorne (Valerie), and Barbara Talley; five grandchildren, Kyle Sanders, Dylan Jackson, Jacob Buchholz, Shelby Buchholz, and Jason Brown II; and three great-grandchildren, Kayla, Jack, and Emmy Sanders.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 16 at New Beginnings Apostolic Church @ 407 Prickett Rd in Bryant, Ar 72022.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 17 at New Beginnings Apostolic Church with burial at Rosemont Cemetery. Jim Whitley will be officiating.
