Tommy Lee Capps, age 69, of Haskell, passed away Friday, November 8, 2024.  He was born May 13, 1955 in Little Rock, Arkansas.  Tommy was a Guard for the Arkansas Department of Corrections and spent several years with the Haskell Fire and Rescue Department.  He loved being outdoors; especially deer hunting where he was a member of Gault Hunting Club and was of the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Paulie Andrew Capps & Jessie Murry Capps; wife, Nancy James Capps; brother, Jr. Capps; three sisters, Bernice Trent, Mary Smith, and Helen Taylor.

Tommy is survived by his son, Brent James (Brittany); brother, Johnny Capps (Jan); three grandchildren, Jordan James Creech (Stetson), Richard James, and Gunnar James; one great-grandson, Fisher Creech; sister-in-law, Tammie Adams (Larry); and a host of nieces & nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jason Gault, Jack Gault, Ronnie Ballard, Matthew Marshall, Gene Capps, Eric Baker, and Dallas Ballard.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 11 at Ashby Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 12 at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Rosemont Cemetery.  Bro. Jason Keisler will be officiating.
