Vernon Odell Silvey Jr., age 80, of Greers Ferry, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024.  He was born September 21, 1943 in Lake Village, Arkansas to the late Vernon Odell Silvey Sr. and Iris Meeks Silvey.  Vernon was an officer for the Benton Police Department and a Police Officer for Jonesboro Police department specifically the Narcotics Division.

He is survived by two sons, Vernon Odell Silvey III and Mark David Silvey; sister, Helen Mashburn; and one grandchild.

Visitation will be 11:00 to 12:00 noon Friday, March 29 at Pinecrest Memorial Park with services beginning at 12:00 noon.  Bro. Kim Hammer will be officiating.
