Wanda Gail
Sadler Henthorne
Mar 30, 1947 — Jan 9, 2026
Bauxite
Wanda Gail Sadler Henthorne, 78, of Bauxite, Arkansas passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026 after a lengthy battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Wanda was born March 30th 1947 to Huey and Arrita Sadler.
She was a very proud graduate of Bauxite High School where she met and later married the love of her life Terry Lee Henthorne shortly after graduation in 1966. They missed celebrating their 60th anniversary by just less than six months. They enjoyed lots of time together fishing, camping, and just traveling the back roads all over Arkansas.
Wanda proudly served 2 terms as a Benton City Alderman where she never hesitated to fight for the city employees, especially the police and fire department.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Diana Sutton, her son Richard Jason Henthorne, and her oldest grandson Adam Christopher Brewer. She is survived by her husband Terry; their daughter Joy; 2 grandchildren Hunter and Layla Belle Henthorne; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters Rita Mann, Brenda Bruce, and Judy Teague (Billy).
Services entrusted to Ashby Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, January 12th from 6-8pm and the funeral service will be in the chapel at Ashby's on Tuesday, January 13th at 2 pm with Brother Robert James officiating. Burial will follow at James Family Cemetery on Mt View Rd in Benton.
Pallbearers will be six of her favorite "boys" from the Benton Fire Department, Bill Ford, Greg Ford, Wade Marshall, Russell Evans, Ernie Coppock, and Alan Appling.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to The Bauxite Historical Association & Museum or Elite Hospice in Bryant, AR.
The family would like to thank the staff at Elite Hospice for their care, especially Crystal Drake-Bracy, whom she completely adored.
