Obituary

Wanda Charlene Sorrells went to be with the Lord on February 5, 2026. Wanda was born on October 29, 1936 in Little Rock. Wanda attended Bearden Schools, where she met and fell in love with Wilton Lafayette Sorrells, her husband of 69 years. Wanda and W.L. first met in the 3rd Grade.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond (Jack) and Hazel Crow; her sister, Pat; and her beloved son, Scott Sorrells.

Wanda is survived by her husband, Wilton Lafayette Sorrells; son Jimmy (Janelle) Sorrells of Benton; and daughter Sonya (Tim) Dale of Mt. Pleasant, Tx; five grandchildren Lauren Sorrells, Brian (Chloe) Dale, Carmen (Ryan) Mallory, Christina (Chris) Stec, and David (Natalie) Sorrells; and eleven great grandchildren, Brady, Sadie, Luke, Reese, Turner, Drew, Scottie, Bailey, Skylar, Shelby, and Jack; daughter in law Cindy Sorrells; her brother Buddy Crow.

Wanda had many talents and hobbies, including cooking, sewing, and decorating. She was a homemaker for many years, and took great pride in taking care of her family. She supported her kids and grandkids in everything they did, and attended every event possible. Wanda was happiest when she was surrounded by those she loved, whether that was hosting all of her family, cooking a huge lunch for all of the guys from the Sawmill, or visiting with her friends. She loved to give back to the community in a variety of ways. Her love language was cooking. When someone she loved was going through a hard time, she always showed up with a homemade meal and coconut pie. Wanda was a world traveler, taking her family on many worldwide adventures. Wanda was proud to be by her husband's side as they established W.L.S Sawmill in 1979, where her family continues the legacy.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Divine Home Health and Elie Hospice for the love and care shown.
