Waneta Fay Gentry Spruiell, a beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2024, at the age of 82. Born the youngest of nine children to Richard Aaron and Thelma Thomas Gentry in Faulkner Gap, Arkansas,

Waneta was preceded in death by her parents, her seven brothers, Norman, Vincent, Howard, Oneal, Milton, Wilber and Leo and her sister Dorothy.

Waneta was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.  She raised four wonderful children. Her family was her pride and joy, and she dedicated her life to nurturing them, sharing her deep faith and teaching them about the love of the Heavenly Father.  She married her childhood sweetheart, Phillip Spruiell, on August 2, 1989.

Waneta was an active member of Grace Point Church. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, and she found joy in ministering to others.

In her leisure time, Waneta enjoyed being outdoors, traveling, gardening, reading, and spending time with her children and grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her loving spirit and gentle, warm smile will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Waneta is survived by her loving husband, Phillip Spruiell; her children, Ramona Girner, Christa Zuber, Timothy Zuber, Steven Zuber; her five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and her husband's children, Ann Partain, Katheryn Youngblood and Phillip Spruiell, Jr.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 15, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 PM and the funeral service on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 12:00 PM.  Both will be held at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton.
