William Regis "Bill" Malloy Sr., 92, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home on May 25, 2026. Born December 7, 1933, in Mount Savage, MD, Bill was the son of Joseph and Margaret Malloy and one of fifteen children, eventually becoming the last surviving sibling of his remarkable family.

Bill proudly served his country for 21 years in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant and serving during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. During his Army career, Bill became widely known as the man who could get things done. Resourceful, well-connected, and always dependable, he was often the person others turned to when critical supplies were needed at a moment's notice. The phrase "Go to Malloy" became well known among those who served with him. Bill's service and leadership left a lasting impression on those who served alongside him, and his greatest passion in life was helping fellow veterans.

Following his retirement from the Army, Bill worked for Queen City Electric in Cumberland, MD, for 24 years, continuing to use the skills he learned in the Army as an electrical supply controller. His duties covered multiple areas and job sites, where he was once again known as a reliable and dedicated provider who always got the job done — "Go to Malloy." He eventually retired to Arkansas with his beloved wife, Jan.

Bill and Jan shared 60 years together, and their marriage was built on love, laughter, devotion, and unwavering partnership. Together, they enjoyed traveling, playing cards, attending church and church functions, and spending time with family.

A devoted Catholic, Bill lived his life guided by enduring priorities: his love of God, his Catholic faith, the country he served, and his family. His faith was reflected not just in worship, but in the way he lived — welcoming others without judgment, caring deeply for family, and giving generously to those around him. Continuing his commitment to faith and fellow veterans, Bill was a founding member of Catholic War Veterans Post 1836 in Little Rock and a lifetime member of the VFW.

Bill never met a stranger for long. With a mischievous sense of humor, a quick joke always ready, and a warm smile, he brought laughter wherever he went. He loved children, adored his family, and had a special fondness for dogs. Known for his generosity and kind heart, he was a loyal friend, a patient listener, and a proud provider for those he loved.

Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Janet "Jan" Malloy; his children, William Regis Malloy Jr. ("Billy") (Joyce), Tammy Herrell, and Christopher Malloy (Ryanne); grandchildren Charity Swan, Audrey Malloy, Thadeus Malloy, Charity Lynn, Audrey, Maya, Charlie, and Marshall; numerous beloved great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his children James "Sam" Malloy, Joseph "Joe" Malloy, Marlo Malloy, and granddaughter Catlin Malloy.

Family and friends may visit at Ashby Funeral Home, 108 W. Narroway St., Benton, AR 72015, for visitation on June 2, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

A Rosary will be held June 3, 2026, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4000 N. Rodney Parham Rd., Little Rock, AR 72212. A reception will follow at the Family Life Center.

Military burial with full honors will take place at 2:00 p.m. at Pinecrest Cemetery, 7401 Hwy 5 N, Alexander, AR 72002.
