William "Willie" James Nickels, age 69, of Bauxite, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023.  He was born January 26, 1954 in Corpus Christi, Texas.  Willie was a retired dozier operator and an avid hunter & fisherman.  He was a family man and will be missed greatly.

Willie is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel & Pearl Nickels; sister, Sherry Cousins; and a brother, Danny Nickels.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ramona Nickels; daughter, Mona Lisa Nickels; brother, Richard Nickels; two sisters, Sue Lovell and Sandy Heard; and several nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 10 at Ashby Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 11 at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Ida Mission Cemetery in Little Rock.  Bro. Carl Higgs will be officiating.
