Earnest “Butch” Kennedy, 64, of North Little Rock passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014. He was in the United States Marines during Vietnam. Butch was an accountant who owned his own business. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather, who will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Brenda Brothers Kennedy; daughter, Leslie Suggs (Michael); three sons, Keith Kennedy (Andrea), Blake Brothers-Kennedy and Jacob Brothers-Kennedy; mother, Nina Kennedy; brother, Jerry Kennedy and his nephew, Billy; sister, Ann Smith (Raymond) and niece, Andrea and nephew, Michael; five stepchildren, Amy Smith (Brian), Josh Brothers, Shaun Brothers, Rick Adams (Misty) and Daniel Wallace; grandchildren, Olivia, Jagger, London, Brynn, Carter, Lexy and Allie; several step grandchildren and many, many, friends, including his beloved pug, Dodie.
Butch was preceded in death by his father, Earl E. Kennedy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Butch’s grandson, Carter, may be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 2222, Little Rock, Arkansas 72203
Memorial Services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Ashby’s with visitation to follow after services. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Monday at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Jacksonville.
