Alton Lewis Overton, age 66, of Bryant; passed away Wednesday March 7, 2007. He was born on April 2, 1940 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Lewis Franklin and Dwight Katherine Overton. Mr. Overton was a U. S. Army Veteran and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bryant. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Nicole Overton.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Overton of Bryant; his children, Kelly Gum of Houston, Texas, Greg Overton of Bauxite, Kevin Overton of Spring, Texas, Renee Lisko of Weiner, Jennifer Parson of Bryant and Stephanie Simpson of Benton; brother, Jackie F. E. Overton of Gurdon; sister, Marie Wieland of Woodbridge, Virginia and eleven grandchildren, Kameron Frederick, Taylor Frederick, Austin Summerland, Hannah Overton, Keegan Overton, Spencer Jones, Kyle Overton, Karissa Overton, Tyler Cronin, Skyler Cronin and Alexa Parson.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Overton, Greg Overton, James "Byrd" Darden, Brent Lisko, Stephen Parson and Gary Gum.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Ashby Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Ashby Funeral Home with a 2:00 p.m. graveside service at Tulip Cemetery in Tulip, Arkansas.
