Obituary

Daniel Earl Ivy, age 70 of Benton, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 14, 2023. He was born on June 22, 1952 in Little Rock to Mary Ann and the late Albin Ivy. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Benton.

Dan lettered in football for the Benton High School Panthers as a member of the class of 1970.  He attended Henderson State University and the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, where he worked in the Department of Civil Engineering to become a licensed Professional Land Surveyor.  Between his time at Henderson and the U of A, he served as a Military Policeman in the U.S. Army while stationed in Germany.

He operated his own land surveying business in Hot Springs Village, AR for 39 years and was active in the Arkansas Society of Professional Surveyors. He loved the camaraderie of outdoor activities with his friends and family as well as taking trips to visit his granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his father Albin Ivy and his sister, Victoria Ivy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Joyce Holiman Ivy of Benton; Son, Reid Ivy, daughter-in-law Daina Ringus, and granddaughters, Veronika Ivy and Ula Ivy of Riverside, IL; mother, Mary Ann Ivy of Benton; brother, Andy Ivy of Hot Springs and sister, Janie Vanlone of Benton.

Visitation will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Ashbys. Chapel services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday January 19 th at Ashby Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Grant officiating.
